ZUCCO — WARRANTY & RETURN POLICY
Charging Cables & Adaptors
Document Ref: ZUC-WAR-003 | Jurisdiction: India (Consumer Protection Act, 2019)
Warranty Period: 6 Months (Post-Registration Only)
IMPORTANT NOTICE
No warranty of any kind is activated, implied, or enforceable unless the product is registered via the QR code included in the packaging within 7 days of purchase. Failure to register forfeits all warranty entitlements permanently. Purchase of any ZUCCO charging accessory implies unconditional acceptance of these terms.
QR WARRANTY ACTIVATION — MANDATORY FIRST STEP
Every ZUCCO charging cable and adaptor includes a unique QR code inside the product packaging. The customer must scan this QR code and complete the online registration form within 7 calendar days of the purchase date. This is the sole method of warranty activation.
NO REGISTRATION = NO WARRANTY. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Timeline:
- Day 0 — Purchase date (invoice date)
- Day 1–7 — Valid window to scan QR and register
- Day 8+ — Registration window permanently closed. No warranty available.
- 6 Months — Warranty coverage period from registration date
- Post 6 Months — Warranty expired. No claims accepted.
Registration requires: Full Name, Mobile Number, Purchase Date, Invoice/Order ID, Product SKU/Model, Purchase Channel.
Upon successful registration, the customer receives a Warranty Confirmation ID via SMS/email. This ID must be quoted in all future claims. ZUCCO's server-side timestamp is the definitive record — customer screenshots are not accepted as proof of timely registration.
UNREGISTERED PRODUCTS HAVE ZERO WARRANTY COVERAGE.
If a customer contacts ZUCCO with a complaint and no valid Warranty Confirmation ID can be produced, the claim shall be rejected outright — regardless of the nature of the defect, days since purchase, or any other circumstance.
SECTION 1 — RETURN & EXCHANGE ELIGIBILITY
A return or exchange claim is valid only if the product is registered AND all of the following are met:
- Claim raised within 6 months of QR registration date
- Valid Warranty Confirmation ID quoted in every communication
- Original invoice with date matching registration record
- Minimum 3 clear photographs of defect submitted within 48 hours of discovery, before further use
- Written usage declaration: how the product was used, environment, frequency, and daily duration
- Specific defect description: nature of fault, date first observed, conditions, and actions taken after
SECTION 2 — COVERED DEFECTS (MANUFACTURING DEFECTS ONLY)
ZUCCO accepts liability exclusively for manufacturing defects under normal intended use within the 6-month registered warranty period:
- Connector pin failure not caused by improper insertion or forceful plugging
- Internal wiring fault resulting in non-function with no external physical cause
- Adaptor that fails to charge within warranty period with no visible external damage
- Casing defects present at delivery and reported within 48 hours
- Dead-on-arrival (DOA) verified within 48 hours with photographic/video evidence
All claims are subject to ZUCCO's internal technical inspection. ZUCCO's determination is final and binding.
SECTION 3 — CONDITIONS THAT VOID WARRANTY: CHARGING CABLES
The following conditions immediately and permanently void all warranty and return rights for charging cables:
- Excessive or intentional stretching: Any stretching beyond natural cable length, using cable as a tether, forceful pulling, or deliberate elongation for any reason.
- Sharp bending at connector joints: Repeated acute bending at the cable-connector junction causing internal wire fatigue — classified as user-induced mechanical damage.
- Physical impact or drops: Damage from dropping, stepping on, crushing, or any impact force. ZUCCO bears zero liability for impact-related damage regardless of frequency or circumstance. Falls are an uncontrollable user-environment event.
- Liquid or extreme heat exposure: Any contact with liquids, moisture, or heat sources beyond ambient room temperature.
- Modification or third-party repair: Cutting, splicing, taping, soldering, or any physical alteration permanently voids the warranty.
- Improper storage: Tight coiling, knotting, or compressed storage causing internal conductor damage.
- Incompatible device use: Damage from use with devices outside the stated specification range.
- Normal wear and tear: Gradual degradation of sheathing, connector plating, or flexibility from everyday use is not a manufacturing defect.
DROP & IMPACT DISCLAIMER — CABLES:
ZUCCO explicitly disclaims all liability for cable damage resulting from dropping, falling, or impact of any kind. The customer acknowledges that physical falls are a user-environment risk and not attributable to product quality. No refund, exchange, or replacement shall be issued for impact-related cable damage under any conditions.
SECTION 4 — CONDITIONS THAT VOID WARRANTY: CHARGING ADAPTORS
The following conditions immediately and permanently void all warranty and return rights for charging adaptors:
- Overheating from sustained heavy use: Continuous use exceeding normal charging cycles, overnight charging in enclosed spaces, or use in high-ambient-temperature environments without ventilation constitutes user negligence. Any damage resulting from continued use of an overheating adaptor — including battery damage or electrical faults — is entirely the customer's liability.
- Voltage or current mismatch: Connecting to devices with incompatible electrical specifications, or use in regions with non-standard electricity supply without a converter.
- Damaged or non-standard sockets: Use in loose, damaged, or substandard wall sockets resulting in electrical faults.
- Continued use after observable overheating: If a device connected to the ZUCCO adaptor shows battery deterioration, swelling, or electrical anomaly after the adaptor was observed to be excessively warm and use was not discontinued — all liability rests solely with the customer.
- Power surge or fluctuation damage: Damage caused by unstable electricity supply, power surges, lightning, or use without a surge protector is the user's responsibility in entirety.
- Physical impact / drops: Zero liability for drop or impact damage to adaptors under any conditions.
- Liquid contact: Any moisture or liquid exposure permanently voids all claims.
- Disassembly or internal tampering: Opening or attempting to repair the adaptor internally voids the warranty in its entirety.
THERMAL NEGLIGENCE CLAUSE:
ZUCCO adaptors meet standard safety thresholds under normal residential use. If an adaptor is operated continuously beyond its designed duty cycle and exhibits excessive heat — and the user continues operation without interruption — any resulting damage to the adaptor, device, battery, or surrounding property is classified as user negligence and falls outside ZUCCO's liability under all circumstances.
SECTION 5 — CLAIM SUBMISSION PROCESS
- Step 01 — Email ZUCCO within 48 hours of defect discovery
- Step 02 — Quote Warranty Confirmation ID + invoice + 3 photos + usage declaration
- Step 03 — ZUCCO reviews within 3–5 business days
- Step 04 — If approved: ship product back in original packaging
- Step 05 — Inspection complete — replacement issued at ZUCCO's discretion
ZUCCO does not issue cash refunds. Approved claims result in product replacement only. Incomplete claims are automatically rejected with no reconsideration.
SECTION 6 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
ZUCCO's total liability under any claim shall not exceed the original purchase price of the specific product. ZUCCO shall not be liable for: indirect or consequential damage; device, battery, or property damage; data loss; economic loss; or any claims arising from user negligence, misuse, physical damage, environmental factors, or unregistered products. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted under applicable Indian law.
SECTION 7 — ACCEPTABLE VS. UNACCEPTABLE USE

- Standard residential socket use
- Intermittent adaptor use with rest periods
- Unplugging adaptor when warm

- Registration after Day 7
- Intentional cable stretching
- Continuous overnight adaptor use
- Drop / impact damage
